I’ve tried doing them in the past. I’ve failed, but now that I’m getting a little more comfortable, I wanna consider it again. So here’s my question.

If I offered headshots in this order for these prices, would there be any interest?

A simple monochrome headshot for 5 USD.

Not quite as simple headshot with up to 5 base colors for 10 USD

A detailed full color headshot in a rough painterly style like this for 25 USD.

I just need to gauge if there is any interest before I open them. They’ll be pretty straight forward. I’m thinking I would open like …. five slots. But yeah, what do y’all think? Would you be interested?

Okay so it’s finally happened, I’m in need of some serious help at the moment. I’m $200 short for all of my bills this month. My rent is due on the 1st and I am not paid again until the 10th of July. So for that reason I’m going to finally be opening some commissions. They will be quick commissions, and because of that, they’ll also be cheap. I need to earn money really quickly. 

My job has erratic hours, but for the most part I have several hours a day to work on drawings. So I’m gonna open 1 slot for Section 1. 5 slots between sections 2 and 3. Unlimited Slots for Section 4. I’ve never really been successful on the commission game so I don’t think I’ll need that many. 

I’m only offering busts (from the shoulders up) without any other restrictions. 

Examples and Prices

Section 1. Detailed Coloring/Shading 25+ USD (1 character only)

This is the only drawing type I’m offering with a flex pricing system. These are extremely detailed and take a great deal of time. I will be accepting only 1 commission like this. That will be listed separately from the other commission list. This one will also be the only one that I’m going to be really picky on what I accept, and detail will determine cost.

Section 2. Full color bust Single Character, 15 USD.

I’m not going to put a detail restriction. I enjoy detailed characters and since these are done in a fairly simple style I’m not too worried on detail. The average time it takes for one of these is 2 hours give or take. 

It’ll be 7.50 USD per extra character. Max 3 characters.

Section 3. Semi-Detailed Monochrome 10 USD

These are really sketchy, not really cleaned up so on the very simple side. Second characters are 5 USD.

Section 4. Super Simple Sketchy Sketch 5 USD Max 1 character unlimited slots (maybe).

I’ll take unlimited number of these because these take about fifteen minutes. What you see is what you get with this though, just a really quick portrait of your OC.

Now for the Fun Part: Rules

Sounds scary, but they are simple enough. Send an email to:

Your email title must have "Commission and your Deviant/Tumblr Username"

In the body of your email I need the following information. 1 - 3 references of your character(s). They must be picture references (written descriptions are not enough). And then what Section you’d like to order from. For sections 2 - 3 it will be first come first serve. For section 1 it will be whichever character I want to take. You must include how many characters you want.

When I accept your commission I’ll send you an invoice. I don’t expect payment until I start your commission. Because these are so cheap I wont do a preliminary sketch for approval (with the exception of Section 1 - I will do up to 2 preliminary sketches for approval, no more. Section 1 pictures take anywhere from 20 - 40 hours so please be patient with me).

Any other questions please feel free to ask. I’m more than happy to contain open contact. Just know I work five days a week night shifts so I’ll be responding late in the evening.

I’m going to leave these Open until further notice or until I make enough to cover my bills. As I finish commissions I’ll open up more slots. 

Final Note: I will not draw Loli/Shota/Bestiality/Mecha. Everything else is open.

So I've started drawing traditional art again which makes me curious. Do y'all think I should - or want me to - upload my pencil drawings here, or do you think I should create a new deviantart account for my pencil work. I'm thinking pencil work is going to become my predominant medium and now that I'm finally drawing again I'm very excited to hold a pencil instead of a stylus. I really missed sketching and drawing and as much as I love digital I feel there is so much that can be learned from traditional art. In the last three days I've drawn several pictures and I'm hoping to draw more and more. So what do y'all think? Would you like to see those here or would you like me to put them on another account and focus this account on my digital art?
